For Your Recommendation

I’m not here just to promote my own work. If I only did that, it would go against the whole purpose of the Arcane Variant Series, which is to encourage more reading across different genres and authors.

Dustin Hendrix

Dustin recently released the first book in his Creep Tales series, Night of the Living Pizza, which I really enjoyed. Creep Tales is perfect for YA readers who love horror, and it has that nostalgic Goosebumps feel for those of us who grew up on them. I’m excited to see where he takes this series next!

Fionna Cosgrove

If you loved “choose your adventure” stories as a kid, Fionna’s books are right up your alley. I had a blast reading one of her make-your-adventure stories multiple times, each time landing on a different ending. It even comes with a tracking page to follow your journey. She has more books in the series and also runs writing workshops to help others create their own adventure stories.

A.D. Aro

A.D. was one of the first authors I connected with on Instagram. He’s written three books in his Bumps in the Night series—perfect for kids (or adults!) who loved R.L. Stine. My personal favorite is Clowning Around. His work is a great way to get kids excited about reading.

Wofford Lee Jones

This recommendation is for adult readers. I met Wofford through my boyfriend and am so glad I did. His work is filled with thrills, chills, and plenty of horror. I just finished his novels Soul Dreams and These Bloody Games We Play. Both are incredible reads and absolutely worth seeking out!
